PADS Lenten Food Drive

Wednesday, February 17 through Sunday, February 21

PADS Lake County, is an organization providing shelter to individuals experiencing a housing crisis.  They are in dire need during this time of COVID-19. 

Please help St. Gianna, St. Genevieve, and St. Maria Goretti Circles to make this drive a success! This year during COVID-19, PADS is sheltering 135 people in five hotels. The rooms have small microwaves which can be used for heating microwaveable dinners. All food donated to PADS should be non-perishable. The items should not require a can opener or boiling water. Please drop off donations at:

Food Items needed (no pasta that needs boiling):

 

·         Non-perishable, microwavable meals (Easy Mac, Barilla pasta, Hormel Completes, Ramen bowls)

·         Bread

·         Peanut Butter & Jelly

·         Fruit cups (with pull tabs)

·         Chips / Pretzels / Snacks

·         Bottled water

 

Non-Food Items needed:

·         Grocery store gift cards (Jewel, Aldi…)

·         $5 -$10 fast food gift cards (McDonald's…)

·         Travel sized hand sanitizer

·        Latex gloves

An Act of Spiritual Communion

My Jesus, 

I believe that You are present in the Most Holy Sacrament. 

I love You above all things, and I desire to receive You into my soul. 

Since I cannot at this moment receive You sacramentally, 

come at least spiritually into my heart. 

I embrace You as if You were already there and unite myself wholly to You. 

Never permit me to be separated from You.
